India's Harnaaz Sandhu Wins Miss Universe 2021 Crown!

The new Miss Universe 2021 is Harnaaz Sandhu from India. The grand finale of Miss Universe 2021 which was held on December 12, 2021 at Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel was a night to remember. Nadia Ferreira of Paraguay and Lalela Mswane of South Africa were the first and second



runners-up, respectively. Harnaaz wins the third crown for India after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta.

Sandhu's beauty pageant journey started at age 17 when she participated in the Times Fresh Face pageant in 2017. The 21 year old is currently pursuing a master's degree in public administration.

Speaking during the pageant, Harnaaz Sandhu urged young people to "know that you are unique and that's what makes you beautiful, stop comparing yourself to others. "I believed in myself, and that's why I'm standing here today," she added, to loud applause from the audience.
