Most people dream of a relaxed and comfortable life after retirement or a certain age. They even invest in post retirement schemes or a monthly income plan to support them through their golden years and also make sure they have the adequate financial cushion.
However, the decision to choose a city to retire in India is not that easy. "There are certain concerns like standard of living, healthcare facilities, connectivity (by road, rail or even air) to other places, distance from one’s children, crime rate and weather," informs Sanjeev Jain who is a Senior Partner at Tata AIA Life Insurance. "If you're retiring in the foreseeable future, it's always a good idea to visit several cities before you decide to move anywhere for your retirement," he added.
